Conservatives hold all three seats in Barnet but Labour gains thousands of voters since 2015

Barnet’s three Tory MPs held on to their seats as general election results were returned in the early hours of this morning.

Chipping Barnet MP Theresa Villiers held on to her seat by just 353 votes, while Mike Freer’s majority in Finchley and Golders Green was slashed by 4,000 since the last election in 2015.

Matthew Offord saw his majority cut from 3,724 in 2015 to 1,072 in Hendon.

The results were:

Chipping Barnet: Theresa Villiers (Cons), 25,679; Emma Whysall (Lab) 25,326; Marisha Ray (Lib Dem), 3,012; Phil Fletcher (Green) 1,406.

Hendon: Matthew Offord (Cons), 25,078: Mike Katz (Lab), 24,006: Alasdair Hill (Lib Dem), 1,985: Carmen Legarda (Green), 578; Sabriye Halane (UKIP), 568

Finchley and Golders Green: Mike Freer (Cons), 24, 599; Jeremy Newmark (Lab), 22,942; Jonathan Davies (Lib Dem), 3463; Adele Ward (Green), 919; Andrew Price (UKIP), 462
