MAKO VUNIPOLA will make his long awaited return to the Saracens side when they take on Gloucester at Kingsholm tomorrow night (7.45pm).
The England international prop has been sidelined for nine weeks with an ankle injury but is now ready to return to action and will be hoping to prove his fitness ahead of England’s Six Nations clash against Italy next weekend.
Sarries have been handed a further boost with key back Duncan Taylor having recovered from a string of injuries in order to make his first Premiership start of the season at full-back.
Argentinian international duo Juan Figallo and Marcelo Bosch are also recalled to the starting line-up as Saracens look to bounce back from last week’s shock defeat at Worcester.
However, despite the welcome returns of Vunipola and Taylor, Sarries are still severely depleted through injury and international call-ups, with key men Alex Goode, Chris Wyles, Sean Maitland, Owen Farrell, Billy Vunipola, George Kruis and Jamie George all unavailable.
Saracens team v Gloucester: Taylor, Ashton, Bosch, Barritt, Ellery, Lozowski, Wigglesworth, Vunipola, Brits, Figallo, Rhodes, Hamilton, Fraser, Burger, Wray. Subs: Saunders, Barrington, du Plessis, Flanagan, Brown, Spencer, Malins, Gallagher.
