ENFIELD BOROUGH extended their unbeaten run in Division Two of the Spartan League to 15 matches with a comfortable 2-0 win at Unite MK on Saturday.
The visitors were dominant from the start, with debutant Chad Morris heavily involved in much of their good play.
And Morris played a key role in the opening goal on 15 minutes, delivering a perfect corner which Guy Kiangebeni headed into the net to score for the first time this season.
Borough continued to look dangerous every time they came forward and they doubled their advantage on the half hour – Thomas Opoku tapping in from six yards out after the home keeper failed to deal with another dangerous corner from Morris.
The one-sided nature of the action continued in the second half, with Solomon Nwabuokei almost adding a third with a long-range effort which hit the bar, while Jamie Newby-Harris, Niyazi Yusuf and Isaac Stevens also had good chances for an impressive Borough side.
“It was a really good team performance,” said manager Marvin Walker. “Although the score was only 2-0 it was a very comfortable win. I have to also give a special mention to Solomon and Chad, who were outstanding.”
